Our Company in cooperation with Antares Vision and IMA SpA, two of the prominent international companies, realized with great success the technical seminar “Track & Trace in the Packaging World”. The seminar was held at Holiday Inn, in Athens, on 13th May 2015.
Due to the increasing trafficking of counterfeit medicines, the European Union has established a legislative basis for the introduction of enhanced security features and monitoring and packaging of medicines to facilitate the traceability of medicinal products throughout the supply chain and authenticated and identification of each individual box. Countries such as France and Turkey have already introduced regulations requiring pharmaceutical companies to mean produced products with the Data Matrix code, while other countries – among them Greece – is to follow in the coming years.
Antares Vision presented the latest technological developments on the international market, the impact of traceability in pharmaceuticals companies, the enforced regulations and standards of each country, the issue of integration in case packers, the methods of encoding and decoding information. Examples of serialization modules were given via case studies videos and participants familiarised with Track & Trace solutions.
IMA S.p.A, one of the leading firms of packaging machines, presented the dynamics, technical data, main features and the benefits of the new models on the packaging sector.
Attendees had the opportunity to talk with the trained staff of LABOCHEM S.A. and also directly with the representatives of the manufacturers’ firms.
